Job details

Physician Outreach and Social Media Representative Ontario Heart Center (OHC) is committed to keeping hearts healthy and strong by providing quality and timely patient care that promotes early diagnosis, prevention and cardiovascular risk management. We balance the best of technological expertise with the compassion of patient-centred care for all types of cardiac problems. OHC is looking for a focused and committed individual to promote that vision on social media while managing physician relations in the Golden Horseshoe area of southern Ontario. Responsibilities: Physician Outreach · Enhancing OHC’s referral base for cardiology testing and consultations among primary care providers in Oakville, Hamilton, Niagara Falls and adjacent communities. · Developing and executing territory-related business plans to maximize referrals. · Building and maintaining preferred partner relationships with key healthcare professionals. · Making on-site visits to enhance OHC’s reputation and visibility among providers. · Investigating any adverse changes in referral patterns. · Resolving minor patient care/customer service issues on-site. · Relaying unresolved concerns to management for enhanced resolution measures. Social Media · Host short-form video, 2–3x/week: appear on camera for TikTok/Reels-style videos covering cardiac health education, prevention, and patient-navigation or family-navigation topics. · Write and adapt scripts: turn our existing blog content pillars (symptom awareness, understanding tests like ECGs/echoes, prevention, patient choice & referrals, family/community heart health, seasonal moments) into short, plain-language video scripts. · Film and edit: shoot on a phone, edit with CapCut or similar — fast and consistent beats polished and slow. · Post and manage the accounts: publish across TikTok, Instagram, and Facebook on a regular cadence and respond to comments/DMs professionally. · Run basic paid promotion: set up and monitor Meta Ads Manager boosts on our top-performing posts (geo-targeted around our 9 clinic locations) and a small TikTok Spark Ads test; training provided if you haven't done this before. Qualifications: · Self-starter with initiative and ability to work autonomously in a primarily field-based role. · Ability to think entrepreneurially, identifying and capitalizing on new untapped opportunities. · Strong written and oral communication skills. · Excellent discretion, diplomacy and sales skills. · Familiarity with basic medical terminology and issues confronting Ontario’s health care system. · Genuinely comfortable on camera. This is the core of the role; please include a short (30–60 second) video introducing yourself with your application. · Some experience creating short-form video content, personal or professional; a portfolio or a few links to past posts is more useful to us than a formal resume. · Basic video editing skills (CapCut, InShot, or similar). · Comfortable learning Meta Ads Manager basics if you don't already know it; we'll train, but curiosity about the "why" behind performance matters more than prior certification. · Legally entitled to work in Canada. · Access to a reliable vehicle.
