Job summary
Who we are: Metrolinx’s GO Expansion program is delivering more GO service across the network, including the capacity to deliver two-way service every 15 minutes or better on core routes. Work is already underway on new track, station renovations and infrastructure upgrades on parts of the Lakeshore, Stouffville, Kitchener and Barrie lines. The investment will generate thousands of new jobs and economic opportunities across the region. The ONxpress Civil Joint Venture is comprised of Aecon Infrastructure Management Inc. and FCC Canada Ltd. This multidisciplinary team leads the delivery of civil and track works, leveraging global expertise to introduce innovative solutions across the GO Transit network. What You'll Do: Represent ONxpress on the field and coordinate with Metrolinx representatives. Oversee daily operations and manage directly supervising subcontractors. Ensure that works are performed as per Go Rail, ONxpress and Metrolinx safety Guidelines. Conduct job briefings, safety talk and coordinate works with subcontractors. Produce daily reports of performed activities. Coordinate with project coordinator and Superintendent if field technical problems occur. Recognize, document and report delays. Work well with others as a team Conduct weekly ONxpress safety inspection. All other duties as required. What You'll Bring: Minimum 2 years of experience in a role of supervision in a rail or buildings projects Competent supervisor in the province of Ontario Ability to quickly learn and understand various processes regarding ONxpress policies and procedures. Basic computer skills Experience in rail work environment is highly preferred. Previous experience as a surveyor preferred. Expected compensation for this role is between $90,000-$110,000 annually. Base salaries are determined according to multiple factors including skills, experience and potential impact on the role. Internal and external competitiveness are also taken into consideration. Requirements
Requires at least 2 years of supervisory experience in rail or building projects and competency as a supervisor in Ontario. Experience in rail environments and surveying skills are highly preferred.
