Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role based in Montreal, QC for an E-commerce Operations Manager & Software Developer. The role combines ownership of e-commerce operations with hands-on technical development to support scalable, reliable online ordering and fulfillment systems. Day-to-day responsibilities may include overseeing web portals and online storefronts, optimizing product listings and catalog structures, managing order workflows, and coordinating with warehousing and fulfillment teams to ensure timely and accurate delivery. The role includes designing, developing, and maintaining custom software tools, integrations, and automation for inventory management, ordering systems, and reporting dashboards, as well as troubleshooting technical issues and improving system performance. The E-commerce Operations Manager & Software Developer collaborates closely with cross-functional teams—production, logistics, sales, and customer service—to streamline processes, support data-driven decisions, and enhance the overall digital customer experience. ANNUAL SALARY: $60,000-$75,000 + benefits. Qualifications - Candidates should possess strong e-commerce operations skills, including experience with online storefront management, order processing workflows, catalog and product data management, and coordination with warehousing and fulfillment. - Must have extensive experience with Shopify Candidates should possess software development skills such as proficiency in one or more modern programming languages (e.g., JavaScript, Python, PHP, or similar), experience with web application development, APIs, integrations, and basic database design and querying. Candidates should possess technical systems and tooling skills, including familiarity with e-commerce platforms (e.g., Shopify, Magento, WooCommerce, or comparable systems), ERP or inventory management systems, and version control tools (e.g., Git). Candidates should possess analytical and process-optimization skills, including data analysis, reporting, performance monitoring, and the ability to design and improve operational workflows to increase efficiency and accuracy. Candidates should possess communication and collaboration skills, including the ability to work cross-functionally with operations, production, logistics, and customer-facing teams, and to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
