ProcessingTechnician Location: Winnipeg Status: Full-time Reports to: Production Manager Hours: Monday to Thursday, 7 am to 530 pm Reporting to the Production Supervisor, our ideal candidate is a self-starter who takes initiative, displays problem-solving and decision-making abilities, has excellent organizational skills and can maintain a positive, professional attitude in a fast paced and changing work environment. Key Responsibilities: Comply with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s) in a full-scale production environment. Conduct programs of sampling, weighing and analysis to maintain quality standards of products. Responsible for escalating issues to shift lead/supervisor Responsible for general housekeeping of production area. Responsible for completion of startup/cleaning checklists Ensure accurate information and data are being documented throughout the day to day routine Collaborate with shift lead/supervisor to ensure all tasks are completed for the shift Cleaning and maintenance of production stations Adherence to health and safety policies Escalate quality deviations or production constraints to shift lead/supervisor Other duties as may be required. Qualifications: Strong sense of work quality and safety; Effortlessly takes direction and follows through on tasks; Capable of working both independently and on a team; Good communication skills both written and verbal; Positive attitude with excellent interpersonal skills; Ability to work in a fast-paced environment; Experience in food manufacturing and/or in a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment would be considered an asset; Previous production experience would be considered an asset; Keen eye for detail; Ability to meeting physical demands including reaching, bending, walking, standing and performing repetitive work; Flexibility to work shift work as required.
