Posting Close Date: 10/02/2026 Kick-start your geoscience career with Ovintiv. As a summer intern, you will work alongside industry experts, contribute to meaningful projects, and gain hands-on experience on some of North America's premier energy assets. Working within multidisciplinary teams, you will develop technical skills, learn from experienced mentors, and see how geology helps drive business decisions and operational success. Our Geoscience interns will be placed in a position that will give them exposure to the many roles of a professional geoscientist, including Exploration, Reservoir Characterization, Development and Operations. Responsibilities Log interpretation, geologic mapping, structural modelling, core analysis. Investigating critical parameters that influence productivity and economics. Identify opportunities for new well locations or pad optimization. Supporting operations through drilling and completions as it relates to rock properties. Multi-disciplinary integration (e.g. Geophysics, Petrophysics, etc.). Required Qualifications Must be eligible to work in Canada without sponsorship. Must be enrolled in an accredited Canadian university program in Geoscience, Geology. Must be enrolled as a full-time student through December 2027. Available May 3, 2027 – August 19, 2027. In accordance with applicable law, the following represents Ovintiv's reasonable estimate of the hiring compensation range for this role. Hiring Hourly Range: $28.13 - $40.96 CAD Compensation may vary and will be determined by academic experience and placement location.
