OZZ Electric BC is an industry leading contractor working on exciting high-rise residential and commercial projects across the lower mainland. You will join our growing team as a key member on the tools, both mentoring apprentices and assisting foremen, in order to help build state-of-the-art projects for our clients. We are looking for lead hands on Vancouver Island! RESPONSIBILITIES As a Lead Hand you will be responsible for: * Installing electrical equipment based on blueprints and in accordance with the Canadian Electrical Code specifications * Observing functions of installed equipment to detect hazards and the need for adjustments, relocation, or replacement * Overseeing and mentoring apprentices and Journeypersons in the field Drawing review and updates Safety Documentation creation and management (hazard assessments, toolbox talks, incident investigations, near miss reporting, injury management in partnership with CSO) EDUCATIONAL AND PROFESSIONAL REQUIREMENTS * Journeyperson Electrician ticket required (Red Seal) * Experience working on high rise and/or commercial new construction projects * Good knowledge of the Canadian Electrical Code and local requirements * Excellent communication, computer skills, and time management skills * Field Safety Representative ticket is an asset WORKING CONDITIONS * Working both indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions * Typical 5-day work week; overtime may be required to meet construction deadlines * Local work in Victoria * Benefits provided by CIBP

Requirements
Candidates must hold a Red Seal Journeyperson Electrician ticket and have experience in high-rise or commercial construction. Strong knowledge of the Canadian Electrical Code and excellent communication skills are required.
