Dispatcher Standard Bus Contracting is seeking a part-time Dispatcher to join our team in Terrace. In this key position, you’ll be integral to the day-to-day operations, handling driver communications, scheduling, and routing to ensure efficient service. We’re looking for an industry professional with a strong commitment to customer service and passenger satisfaction. To thrive in this fast-paced role, the ideal candidate will bring exceptional organizational and multi-tasking abilities. Shift details: Split shift Monday through Friday, 7:00 am – 10:00 am and 2:00 pm – 5:00 pm Wage: $26.00 per hour Duties and Responsibilities: * Dispatch day-to-day communication regarding fleet units * Provide tactful and professional phone assistance * Plan, organize and respond to route, fleet, and operator issues and advise on company safety policies and procedures * Coordinate the activities of drivers, supervisors, and fleet units using a variety of computer-aided communications and dispatching equipment * Work independently to resolve customer/passenger issues in a professional and friendly manner * Administrative duties as required (payroll, filing, and reports) Desired Requirements: * Possess strong organizational skills including time management, multitasking, and remaining calm in a hectic work environment * Excellent verbal and written communication skills * Experience in the transportation industry is an asset * Strong computer skills using Microsoft Office, Outlook and confidence in using database systems * Must have previous experience in administrative duties * Extensive knowledge of Terrace and area * Clear criminal record
