OVERVIEW: The Director of Operations is responsible for providing strategic leadership, operational oversight, and business growth across assigned programs and services. This role leads multidisciplinary teams, fosters strong client relationships, drives operational excellence, and ensures the delivery of high-quality service while supporting organizational goals and growth initiatives. KEY RESPONSIBILITES: Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to managers and operational teams, fostering a culture of accountability, engagement, and continuous improvement. Build and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring exceptional service delivery and long-term partnership success. Develop and execute strategic plans that align with organizational objectives, operational priorities, and client needs. Oversee day-to-day operations across multiple programs and portfolios, ensuring consistent service quality, operational excellence, and compliance with company standards. Manage budgets, financial performance, forecasting, and resource allocation to support business objectives and profitability. Identify and implement process improvements and best practices to enhance efficiency, service delivery, and operational effectiveness. Support business development initiatives, including client retention, growth opportunities, proposals, presentations, and market expansion. Monitor operational performance through key metrics, reporting, and data analysis, driving accountability and continuous improvement. Ensure compliance with all applicable legislation, regulatory requirements, company policies, and client expectations. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to strengthen partnerships, resolve challenges, and support organizational growth and success. REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Criminology, Law & Security Administration, Leadership, Management, or a related field. An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered. Demonstrated experience leading large teams within a complex, multi-site environment. Strong knowledge of applicable legislation, regulatory requirements, workplace health and safety standards, privacy regulations, and industry best practices. Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior leadership role overseeing operations, client service delivery, security, healthcare, facilities management, hospitality, or related service industries. Strong business acumen with experience managing budgets, financial performance, and operational metrics. Excellent leadership, communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and business management software. Professional designation such as CPP, CHPA, or equivalent is considered an asset, or willingness to obtain relevant industry certifications. Active participation in professional associations and industry networking groups is considered an asset. Ability to travel as required and support operations across multiple locations.
