Role Description The Shift Manager role is a full-time, on-site position based at the McDonald's Restaurant in Nipawin, SK. The Shift Manager oversees daily restaurant operations during assigned shifts, including supervising crew members, coordinating workstations, and ensuring adherence to food safety and quality standards. This role manages shift scheduling, monitors inventory levels, and supports cash handling and transaction accuracy. The Shift Manager promotes excellent guest service, responds to customer concerns, and maintains a clean, safe, and welcoming restaurant environment. The position also supports training and coaching of team members, helps achieve sales and labor targets, and ensures compliance with company policies and procedures. Qualifications Candidates should possess strong team leadership and staff supervision skills, including the ability to coordinate tasks, delegate responsibilities, and motivate crew members. Candidates should possess customer service and communication skills, including the ability to interact effectively with guests, resolve concerns, and support a positive dining experience. Candidates should possess basic operational and organizational skills, including shift scheduling, time management, and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment. Candidates should possess foundational cash handling and numeracy skills, including managing tills, reconciling transactions, and following cash control procedures. Candidates should possess reliability and problem-solving skills, including the ability to follow procedures, make sound decisions during busy periods, and support restaurant safety and cleanliness standards. Previous experience in food service, retail, or hospitality, especially in a supervisory or lead role, is an asset. Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required for restaurant operations. High school diploma or equivalent is preferred; additional training in hospitality or management is considered an asset.
