Park Paving Ltd. has been locally owned and operated for over 50 years as one of the largest road construction contractors in Edmonton, and we are looking for an EXPERIENCED GRADES PERSON to join our EXCAVATION SERVICES division. This is full time seasonal position that offers a competitive wage with benefits. The primary responsibilities, duties, and expectations of this position include, but are not limited to: Understands grades and general survey, and possesses the ability to read and understand drawings Assist operators with the monitoring of excavations and safely guide operators around utilities and other obstacles Provide accurate cut and fill directions when grading after removals The ability to read grade stakes, offsetting hubs, and taking measurements Must know how to differentiate grade markings and measuring points Set up of barricades and signs around excavations Ability to work long hours and overtime in a physically demanding work setting Assist in equipment pre/post trip inspections and general maintenance Dental care Extended health care Profit sharing RRSP match Vision care Pay Scale $24 - $29 per hour based on experience Successful candidates will thrive in a problem solving, teamwork-based environment. This is a physically demanding, highly productive, and high-pressure position. They will also possess a strong drive to contribute to the team's success by working with operators and other crew members to perform a wide range of duties.
