Job summary
We are seeking a HARP-certified Dental Assistant with a Level II Dental Assisting Certificate to join our busy oral surgery specialty practice in Ancaster. Key Responsibilities: Assist with oral surgery procedures Prepare workstations and take periapical and panoramic x-rays Clean and sterilize instruments and maintain equipment Welcome and prepare patients, manage charts, and provide pre- and post-operative instructions Requirements: Previous experience in dental assisting, preferably within oral surgery, is highly desirable Proficiency with dental software is preferred Knowledge of medical terminology relevant to dentistry and surgical procedures Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients of all ages Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced clinical setting while maintaining attention to detail Certification or training in dental assisting is required (Level II) Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively Must be a team player Schedule: Monday to Friday (no weekends or evenings) Shifts between 7:00 am – 5:00 pm (7-8 hour daily shifts based on patient schedule) Compensation & Benefits: Pay: Competitive Benefits: Dental, extended health, vision (after 3 month probationary period) Qualifications: Experience: 1 year preferred Certification: Dental Assisting Level II (required) This is an in-person position.
