Job Information We're looking for a driven, community-connected Territory Business Development Manager to grow new advertising revenue in Great Vancouver with a heavy emphasis on Richmond, BC. This is a grassroots business development role for someone who understands the local market, has strong relationship-building skills, and is comfortable generating opportunities through networking, outreach, referrals, and in-market activity. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying and developing new business with local businesses, community organizations, municipal contacts, events, agencies, and regional brands. This role is ideal for a proactive sales professional with media or advertising experience who is motivated by building a territory, opening doors, and creating long-term client relationships. What you'll do... Develop new business: Identify, qualify, and pursue new advertising opportunities across Richmond and Greater Vancouver Build local relationships: Develop strong connections with local business owners, marketing contacts, community groups, event organizers, municipal contacts, agencies, and regional decision-makers. Prospect with purpose: Generate leads through outbound outreach, cold calling, networking, referrals, CRM activity, community involvement, and local market research. Own the territory: Build and manage a territory plan that identifies priority accounts, prospect categories, revenue opportunities, and key relationship targets. Represent the market: Act as a key sales presence for Richmond municipality, with a strong understanding of local business corridors, growth areas, cultural communities, and regional opportunities. Create client solutions: Consult with clients to understand their business goals, target audiences, budgets, and campaign needs. Present advertising recommendations: Build thoughtful proposals using available research, inventory, creative assets, and media solutions across OOH, Transit, Digital, and other relevant formats. Grow revenue: Manage opportunities from first conversation through proposal, follow-up, and close, with a focus on building sustainable new business. Maintain strong records: Keep CRM activity, pipeline updates, prospect lists, and sales forecasts accurate and current. Collaborate internally: Work closely with Sales, Operations, Creative, Charting, and Campaign Services teams to support strong campaign execution and client service. Who you are... Experienced in sales, business development, media, advertising, sponsorship, events, marketing, or another client-facing revenue role Strongly connected to, or highly familiar with, the Richmond business community Knowledgeable about the broader Greater Vancouver market, or eager to develop deep local market expertise Confident prospecting, cold calling, networking, and building relationships from the ground up Comfortable meeting clients by phone, email, virtual meetings, networking events, and in person Entrepreneurial, self-motivated, and energized by developing new business A strong communicator with solid presentation, follow-up, and relationship-building skills Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple prospects, proposals, and timelines Experienced with CRM systems, proposal development, or media sales tools; considered an asset Able to travel regularly within the assigned territory; a valid driver's license and access to a vehicle is preferred Fluency in Mandarin is required What's in it for you... Familiarity with Richmond and Greater Vancouver, CRM and proposal tools, regular territory travel, a valid driver's license and vehicle access are preferred or considered assets; Mandarin fluency is required.
