Role Description The Assistant is a full-time, on-site role based in Brampton, ON, supporting the daily operations of the pharmacy and medical clinic. Responsibilities include greeting and assisting patients, answering phones, and scheduling appointments. The Assistant helps with organizing prescriptions, preparing compliance packaging, and coordinating compounding requests under the supervision of licensed staff. Tasks also involve maintaining cleanliness in patient areas, managing inventory, and supporting vaccination and testing clinics through patient flow and documentation. The role requires collaborating closely with pharmacists and clinicians, handling confidential information, and providing courteous, efficient service to all patients. Qualifications Strong customer service and communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally and compassionately with patients and team members. Basic administrative and organizational skills, including appointment scheduling, record keeping, and handling phone and in-person inquiries. Attention to detail and reliability in assisting with prescription handling, packaging, and documentation under appropriate supervision. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment, manage multiple tasks, and follow established procedures and safety protocols. Comfort with basic computer use and pharmacy or clinic management software; willingness to learn new systems as needed. Prior experience in a pharmacy, medical office, or healthcare setting is an asset. Knowledge of or interest in pharmacy services, vaccinations, and clinical workflows is beneficial. High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary coursework in health sciences, medical office administration, or a related field is an advantage.
