When you work with friends, it doesn’t feel like work! THE OPPORTUNITY * Develop and update accurate standard costing. Maintain and verify costing data by entering, reviewing, and analyzing historical information. * Update raw material standards monthly with forecasted costs from purchasing. * Ensure running speeds and staffing levels are accurate in recipes and process specifications. * Review purchase price variances and material variances to ensure Standard Costs and Bills of Material are accurate. * Develop cost estimates for new products, restages, and cost‑savings initiatives. * Partner with Purchasing, R&D, and Manufacturing to support cost approvals, labour variance monitoring, and post‑launch cost appraisals. * Prepare and present weekly, monthly, and quarterly operational financial reporting, including PPV (Purchase Price Variance), labour variance, giveaway, yield, and production volume, inventory reporting, and manufacturing overhead expense analysis. * Partner with the Operational Controller to support cost‑saving initiatives. * Reconcile P&L transactions by comparing and correcting data (COS and manufacturing variances). * Analyze expenses and prepare journal entries related to utilities, hourly labour, and inventory reconciliations. * Support the annual budgeting process. THE REQUIREMENTS * CPA designation required * 2-3 years of cost accounting experience in a manufacturing environment. Experience in the food or meat processing industry preferred. * Experience with ERP and cost accounting systems. * Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word. * Strong analytical skills with excellent attention to detail. * Clear written and verbal communication skills. * Ability to multitask, prioritize workload, and meet deadlines. * Ability to work additional hours during month‑end as required. Requirements

Candidates must hold a CPA designation and possess 2-3 years of cost accounting experience within a manufacturing environment. Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, is required.
