About the Opportunity We are currently seeking experienced Bilingual SOX Internal Controls Testers to support a major financial services client in Montreal. This is an immediate opportunity for professionals with strong hands-on experience in SOX, ICFR, internal controls, and control testing. Successful candidates will be able to quickly contribute to ongoing engagements and work independently in a client-facing environment. Key Responsibilities Execute SOX / ICFR control testing in accordance with established testing methodologies. Document control testing procedures, results, findings, and supporting evidence. Assess the design and operating effectiveness of internal controls. Identify control deficiencies, exceptions, and potential areas of risk. Work with stakeholders to obtain and evaluate appropriate audit evidence. Support the documentation and execution of control testing programs. Communicate testing results and observations clearly to client stakeholders. Work independently while collaborating with internal and client teams. What You Bring 3–4+ years of relevant experience in SOX, ICFR, internal controls, or control testing. Strong practical knowledge of SOX compliance and internal controls. Experience executing and documenting control testing programs. Strong understanding of risk management and internal control frameworks. Excellent analytical, documentation, and communication skills. Ability to work independently in a client-facing environment. Fluent French and English – French is the primary language requirement. Must be based in or able to work from Montreal and available onsite in Downtown Montreal 2 days per week. CPA designation is preferred, but candidates with strong SOX and ICFR experience will also be considered without a CPA. PlanIT is an equal opportunity employer.
