Job summary
Under the general supervision and direction of Director of Nursing, health center manager manages the daily operations of the clinic. Includes meeting productivity standards by overseeing the provision of clinical services to clients as needed to facilitate efficient clinical operations, supervising staff, and auditing to ensure regulatory compliance. \n Responsibilities Responsibilities include: Supervisory Duties: 1. Responsible for interviewing, scheduling, training and peformance management of clinic (health center)staff, ensuring that they are knowledgeable about their roles and responsibilities. 2. Assists with the evaluation of clinicians providing comments regarding performance and attitude to the Medical Director and Medical Administration. 3. Monitors employee records: time sheets, absence reports, vacation schedules, CAL courses completion. 4. Ensures that the center staff complies with all relevant regulations, i.e., Title X, 3408, NJ Ambulatory Care Guidelines, CLIA and OSHA as outlined in PPMNJ policies and procedure manuals including pharmacy, infection control, laboratory and medical standards. 5. Ensures the accuracy and completeness of medical records, billing, and statistical information by conducting periodic record audits. 6. Ensures that staff demonstrate competency in their duties Administrative Duties: Establishes and monitors the appointment schedule and works with the Call Center to notify patients, staff, clinicians and volunteers of clinic closings and schedule changes. Conducts staff meetings monthly (and as necessary)to advise staff of changes in policy or procedure, the progress of the clinic in meeting its objectives and to update staff on agency communications and operations. Participates in quality assurance activities and meets established QA deadlines. Attending relevant conferences, seminars, department in-services & prepares a written summary as indicated. Assists with preparation of budget, level of service projection and annual work plan as requested Customer Service & Productivity · Leads staff in resolving customer problems. -Models exemplary and culturally competent customer service. Utilizes customer satisfaction surveys as an opportunity to identify areas for improvement and addresses issues raised by surveys. -Holds clinical staff accountable to specific measurable customer service standards (e.9. through annual performance monitoring and implementing corrective action plans when customer service expectations are not being met). ' -Ensures that the health center meets productivity standards with a focus on continuous improvement of productivity measures. Assists VP Health Services in developing a center budget including patient and visit projections. Requirements
The position requires an Associate degree and at least 3 years of management experience. Proficiency in Spanish is strongly preferred, and experience with EPIC software is considered an asset.
