Role Description The Showroom Sales Specialist is a full-time, on-site role based in Port Coquitlam, BC. This position is responsible for welcoming and assisting customers in the showroom, identifying their needs, and recommending suitable plumbing, heating, fire sprinkler, and HVAC/R products. The specialist will create and present product solutions, provide pricing and quotations, and follow up on inquiries to support sales conversion. Daily tasks include maintaining showroom displays, ensuring products are accurately labeled, and keeping the space organized and visually appealing. The role also involves coordinating with the sales team and manufacturer partners, processing orders, updating customer records, and providing product education and support to both walk-in clients and appointment-based visitors. Qualifications Candidates should possess experience working in showrooms or similar retail or trade environments, with a focus on product presentation and customer engagement. Candidates should possess strong communication skills, including clear verbal and written communication and active listening abilities. Candidates should possess excellent customer service skills, with a focus on building relationships, understanding client needs, and resolving issues promptly. Candidates should possess sales skills, including consultative selling, upselling, and the ability to meet or exceed sales targets. Candidates should possess an interest or background in interior design, with the ability to help customers match products to aesthetic and functional requirements. Knowledge of plumbing, heating, fire sprinkler, or HVAC/R products or a willingness to learn technical product details. Comfort with basic computer applications (e.g., email, CRM or POS systems) and accurate data entry. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple customer interactions in a fast-paced environment. High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or training in sales, design, or building systems is an asset
