POWERGROUP Resources on behalf of our client Arborwood Tree Services Inc. is currently seeking a motivated Certified Utility Arborist 444B to perform vegetation management work near energized electrical systems. The ideal candidate is safety-focused, skilled in utility line clearance, and experienced working in compliance with industry and regulatory standards. What you will do: Perform utility line clearance pruning and removal in accordance with provincial regulations and industry best practices. Work safely around energized electrical conductors while maintaining required clearances. Identify tree hazards and assess risks related to utility infrastructure. Operate and maintain tools and equipment including chainsaws, chippers, bucket trucks, and climbing gear. Follow all safety procedures, job briefings, and emergency protocols. Communicate effectively with crew members, supervisors, and utility representatives. Complete required documentation and daily work reports. Maintain clean and organized work sites. Represent the company professionally when interacting with the public. Valid 444B Utility Arborist Certification required. Previous hands-on experience in utility vegetation management, electrical line clearance, hydro corridors, or tree work around energized electrical systems. Strong understanding of electrical hazards, minimum approach distances, utility safety procedures, job briefings, hazard assessments, and emergency procedures. Experience using chainsaws, woodchippers, bucket trucks, climbing gear, rigging equipment, or aerial lifts for arborist work. Ability to perform physically demanding outdoor work in all weather conditions. Ability to work at heights and in confined or challenging environments. Valid driver’s license required; AZ/DZ is an asset.
