Position: Culinary Aide Reports to: Food Service Manager Job Status: Casual Openings, Onsite Location: 1022 Pembroke St East Pembroke, ON K8A 8A7 Pay: $17.63 Your Day-to-Day: As an Culinary Aide at Amenida Senior Community, your responsibilities will include: Assisting in the preparation and serving of home-cooked meals using fresh, real ingredients for residents. Supporting the planning and prepping of meals for the current and following day. Helping the Food Service Manager with kitchen operations as needed. Ensuring proper food presentation and portion control under guidance. Maintaining cleanliness and sanitation in all food preparation areas according to health regulations. Supporting general kitchen tasks, including lifting, bending, twisting, and standing for extended periods. Cleaning kitchen equipment and work areas following established standards. Following safety and food handling protocols at all times. What You Bring to the Table: Some experience working in a busy kitchen environment, preferably in senior care or institutional settings. Basic ability to assist in preparing large-batch meals with attention to taste, presentation, and dietary requirements. Valid Food Handling Certificate. Ability to lift, bend, and perform physical tasks related to food service. Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays as needed.
