Job summary
Senior Accountant to join our Finance Team. You will play a crucial role in the financial operations of the organization by assisting in maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records. This position reports to the Finance Manager and involves collaborating with the finance team to ensure the timely and accurate recording of financial transactions, managing accounts receivable and accounts payable, and supporting various accounting activities. The Accountant's primary responsibilities include journal entries, reconciling accounts, assisting in the preparation of financial reports, and contributing to the overall accuracy and integrity of the organization's financial information. Responsibilities: Full-cycle bookkeeping, including A/P, A/R, bank transactions, account reconciliations, HST filings, and expense reports Prepare and send monthly invoices, maintain billing contact lists, and complete new client setup forms Respond to client inquiries regarding invoices, statements, and general billing information Follow up on outstanding invoices and support collections Prepare daily bank deposits and process customer payments Process vendor payments and complete vendor setup forms Prepare, review, and summarize employee expense reports Perform A/R aging and cash flow analyses to support financial planning and collections management Support ad hoc requests from the CFO and Finance Manager Develop and maintain financial reports to support management decision-making Assist with audit requests and provide supporting documentation as needed Requirements: University Degree in business, with a specialty in accounting 3+ years of work experience Strong understanding of full-cycle accounting Excellent Knowledge of accounting standards and bookkeeping Intermediate knowledge of Excel Should have excellent organizational skills and written communication skills The person should be enthusiastic about the challenges of the job Excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to work effectively in teams Strong work ethic and ability to work in an environment requiring discretion and confidentiality Self-starter who is able to anticipate needs and work independently Resourceful with the ability to prioritize and multitask Proven ability to work under pressure with tight multi-deadlines and projects in a fast-paced environment Experience with NetSuite is preferred Candidates must be eligible to work in Canada I would like to thank all the candidates in advance.
