Project 22 Design offers a collaborative studio environment where design professionals can work on diverse, detail-oriented residential and commercial projects. Role Description The Intermediate Interior Designer role is a full-time, on-site position based in Vancouver, BC. This role is responsible for working on projects from concept through completion, including developing design concepts with the senior staff, space planning, material and finish selections/ sourcing, and coordinating with architects, consultants, and contractors. Day-to-day tasks include preparing drawings, specifications, and presentation materials; managing timelines and budgets; and overseeing junior team members to ensure quality and consistency. Qualifications Experience in interior design project leadership, including concept development, space planning, and design documentation. Proficiency with industry-standard design and drafting tools (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp and strong visual presentation skills. Demonstrated ability to manage project schedules, budgets, and coordination with contractors, consultants, and vendors. Strong client-facing communication skills, including the ability to present ideas clearly and build collaborative relationships. Attention to detail in material and finish selection, specifications, and construction documentation. Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Interior Design or a closely related field, with several years of progressively responsible design experience. Knowledge of building codes, accessibility requirements, and best practices in sustainable and functional design.
