Job Code: 27250 Status: Temporary Full Time (up to 9 months) Location: Providence Care Hospital Union: Non-Union Wage: $39.97- $47.01/hr Posting Period: September 16, 2026 - September 22, 2026 The Associate Consultant is accountable for contributing to the delivery of the organizational strategy by ensuring that assigned activities meet organization goals and priorities. The Associate Consultant will participate in activities using their knowledge and expertise in instructional and/or behavioural science to create learning assets to improve performance and build capacity of leaders and teams. Working as part of a team, the Associate Consultant assists with leadership development, learning design and development, performance development, recognition, and employee engagement activities supported by the department. Required Qualifications And Experience Undergraduate Degree required or equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered Three (3) years of experience in instructional design and delivery including eLearning and virtual environments Proficient in Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams) Proficient in SharePoint Healthcare or public sector experience an asset Role Responsibilities Conducts needs assessments and analysis using data-based methodologies (qualitative and quantitative), identify critical issues, root causes, assess client needs, and recommend, design and/or implement appropriate solutions and interventions Designs and develops eLearning or learning assets using an eLearning authoring tool and other interactive software Analyzes and applies trends and best practices in learning (such as learning technologies or tools, instructional or visual design, accessibility, and user experience) Maintains project documentation and reports progress on schedule as determined by the project Designs, develops, and delivers programs that build employee and organizational effectiveness including those related to employee engagement, performance development, and leadership development Works collaboratively with internal clients in leadership development, change management, and team development Provides input and continuous improvement recommendations of the organization’s integrated talent management strategy as it pertains to learning, leadership development, and talent development Analyzes corporate metrics, policies and procedures to ensure the support of learning, leadership development, and talent development initiatives Consults with and provides recommendations to Labour Relations Consultants regarding performance development and targeted leadership and talent development issues Supports on-going development of leadership orientation initiatives Contributes to best practice guidance, advisory and strategic consultative services to support leaders and teams in the successful implementation of change and enhance individual, team (including work groups), and organizational performance and build organizational capability Why Work At Providence Care Hospital Specialized sub-acute Care in rehabilitation, mental health services, complex medical management and palliative care A hospital striving for excellence in care, education and research Committed to people centred approach to care delivery Competitive salaries with percentage in lieu of benefits & vacation Healthcare of Ontario Pension Plan (HOOPP) State of the Art Building with on-site parking On-site café and cafeteria with a variety of food options Corporate and unit/service specific orientation for new hires Focus on Healthy Workplace & Culture of Quality Employee & Family Assistance Program Education, mentorship and bursary opportunities Fully affiliated with Queen’s University and St. Lawrence College and other academic institutions Located on the shores of Lake Ontario surrounded by park land and walking trails Disclosure: We do not use artificial intelligence to screen, assess, or make selection decisions in our recruitment process.
