Hours of Work: 40 hours/week Language: English Benefits: Eligible for discretionary bonuses and increases in salary. Salary: $26.06 CAD / hour Contact: [email protected] Duties Troubleshooting, installing, maintaining, repairing, and configuring mobile radio and broadband wireless equipment Inspect and test electronic equipment, components and assemblies using multimeters, circuit testers, and other electronic test instruments, tools, and equipment Diagnose and locate circuit, component, and equipment faults Adjust, align, replace, or repair two-way radio and associated electronic equipment, assemblies, and components Complete work orders along with testing and maintenance reports Maintaining positive customer relations On-call responsibilities Maintaining internal and customer infrastructure Discussing equipment operations and problems with the customer personnel to determine if repairs are required Working with other departments to evaluate and confirm customer requirements when required Performing installation of infrastructure equipment Aiding and supporting co-workers Performing equipment programming Reviewing Motorola service bulletins and actioning when necessary Expanding technical knowledge by reading technical journals and/or manuals Attending seminars, training, and appropriate professional development workshops to learn about job related equipment Requirements Completion of a two- to three- year college program in electronics OR completion of a four-year apprenticeship program in electronic servicing and repair OR completion of high school or college and on-the-job training is required Previous work experience with wireless broadband and/or Two-Way Radio equipment, specifically Motorola is considered an asset 2-3 years of relevant work experience as a Field Service Technician, Telecommunications Engineer, or equivalent role Experience with Motorola two-way radio equipment including installation, programming, troubleshooting, maintenance, and monitoring Mechanical and electrical knowledge related to the installation and troubleshooting of two-way radio equipment in vehicles and the integration of two-way radios/two-way radio systems, with other mechanical and/or electrical equipment Must be reliable, and willing to work with a fluid and varying schedule Ability to effectively problem-solve Excellent oral and written communication skills Good training skills Excellent attention to detail Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment Physically able to work with and lift equipment weighing up to 35lbs Must be comfortable working at heights and in varying weather conditions
