Role Summary We are seeking a Journeyman Instrumentation Technician to join our team on the SaskPower Aspen Generating Station. The Instrumentation Journeyman is committed to delivering safe, high-quality work that meets and exceeds client expectations. This role requires a strong focus on safety, and customer satisfaction, along with proven experience producing accurate, detail-oriented work in support of client needs. Key Responsibilities Install, test, and calibrate industrial instrumentation, electrical, and control systems, including continuous emissions monitoring (CEMS) Perform installation and calibration, of process control instrumentation such as transmitters, analyzers, control valves, controllers, PLCs, and protective relays Support and maintain power generation and industrial equipment, including gas turbines, generators, and plant auxiliary systems Read and interpret P&IDs, electrical schematics, control system drawings, manuals, and technical documentation Coordinate with operations, maintenance, engineering teams, and external contractors during installations, start-ups, and shutdowns Communicate equipment condition, safety concerns, and job status clearly to operations and supervision Perform all work in compliance with Health & Safety standards, OHS regulations, and company policies Other duties as required Qualifications / Requirements Journeyman Instrumentation Technician certificate; Red Seal Instrumentation Technician certification preferred Strong knowledge of industrial instrumentation, electrical principles, voltage/current relationships Valid H2S Alive, Fall Protection, Standard First Aid (Level A or C with CPR/AED), and CSTS 2020 Experience with Allen-Bradley PLCs, DCS, and HMI systems (programming and troubleshooting) Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and P&IDs Experience in gas plants, power plants, or industrial manufacturing environments Proficient with test and calibration equipment (multimeters andloop calibrators) Skilled using hand tools and electrical tools for installation and maintenance Strong communication, documentation, and teamwork skills Valid driver's licence Flexible availability for shift work, overtime, and weekends, with a strong focus on safety and self-direction Compensation & Benefits Rate:$50 Accommodations: LOA provided Travel pay: $300 Overtime opportunities available Comprehensive extended health benefits after 3 months, including dental and vision coverage, physiotherapy, massage therapy, and mental health support, etc. Retirement savings plan with employer matching Employee Referral Bonus Program, offering up to $1,000 per successful referral Why Work For PTW Build Your Trade. Requires a Journeyman Instrumentation Technician certificate, preferably Red Seal certified, with experience in power plants or industrial manufacturing. Must possess valid safety certifications including H2S Alive, Fall Protection, First Aid, and CSTS 2020.
