Overview As a Senior Account Manager, Social Media and Influencer, your job is to partner with clients to relentlessly pursue innovative creative thinking in the creator space, with a focus on identifying and leveraging new trends, executing programs, and developing client relationships. An essential ingredient of your success is the ability to partner and collaborate with a number of internal and external stakeholders. This role requires a passionate team leader with very strong creative, strategic thinking and organizational abilities. A creative and analytical thinker who can create cross-channel media strategies for our clients. In this position, you will be developing and managing influencer and social media strategies, programs and teams coupled with a solid understanding of the constantly evolving media landscapes. Responsibilities Strategic campaign lead: Serve as the strategic lead for influencer and social marketing programs across multiple clients, guiding client strategy, team execution, partnership development, paid media integration and performance optimization to deliver integrated campaigns that drive measurable business and communications outcomes. Creative strategist: Collaborate with senior leaders to develop and execute strategic social media plans and points of view. Bring curiosity, creativity, and critical thinking to strengthen clients’ online presence and measurable impact, aligned to program KPIs and business goals. Narrative driver: A confident, strong social writer and storyteller, skilled in crafting and editing a range of comms materials that delivers impact for clients and ability to write effective and thumb-stopping social content. Influencer relations pro: Maintain and grow strong relationships with Canadian influencers across beauty, consumer, technology, lifestyle and other beats. Bringing a keen eye on how to pivot or personalize outreach to reach program coverage goals. Familiarity with various influencer tools such as Tagger, Captiv8, Traackr. Client management: Serve as a trusted client lead, building deep relationships and proactively driving smart, strategic programs forward. Coach and mentor: Lead junior team members with clarity and care, delegating, reviewing, and providing feedback while not hesitating to roll up sleeves to support when it's needed. Contribute to North’s inclusive and positive agency culture and lead brainstorming sessions Visual content lead: Set the strategic direction for visual brand content aligned to client objectives, including video and short-form content. Best-practices tracker: Monitor industry and brand trends, translating best practices into ongoing improvements. Budget & forecast owner: Support forecasting and manage budgets across a set of client accounts, with a focus on organic growth. Qualifications 7-9 years of experience in a social media or influencer agency Experience and interest in beauty is a plus Genuine curiosity about how technology and innovation affects how we communicate and evolves social behaviours Bachelor’s & post-graduate degree in Communications, Advertising, Media Studies or a related field Passionately committed to collaboration Excellent cross-functional leadership, presentation and communication skills; dynamic team player Shows strong initiative as an entrepreneurial thinker taking independent actions and calculated risks Superior time management and organizational abilities Strong proficiency in social platforms (Meta, X, TikTok, YouTube, Instagram, Tumblr, WhatsApp and Snapchat, etc.…), effective measurement frameworks for social programs Experience in running social advertising campaigns Strong interpersonal abilities to effectively manage all internal and external relationships, vendors and agency partners Ability to be flexible in a changing work environment and work well under pressure Skilled at analyzing data, deriving insights and building creative output to meet client objectives Refined understanding of community management A curious and adaptable mindset, ready to continuously learn Demonstrated interest in AI. The salary range for this position is CAD$80K-$90K per year.
