Title Dishwasher REPORTS TO Sous Chef/Executive Sous Chef SUMMARY The Dishwasher is responsible for washing dishes, pots, cutlery, changing dish machine chemicals, maintaining overall cleanliness of the kitchen and on occasion assuming other roles, such as a Porter. CORE COMPETENCIES * Customer Service * Interpersonal Awareness * Team Work * Communication JOB DUTIES * Washing dishes, pots, etc. * Changing dish machine chemicals * Sweeping and mopping floors * Emptying kitchen and deli garbage * General clean up and maintenance of kitchen * On occasion, assist in putting stock away * On occasion, assuming the roles of porter when deemed necessary. * Any other duties as assigned by Department Managers REQUIREMENTS * 18 years of age or older * A team player who is willing to learn new skills * energetic with a great personality and sense of humor * Be approachable and hospitable * Enjoy working in a fast-paced environment with a variety of customers * Able to maintain security clearance * Previous experience working in a fast-paced restaurant or bar environment * Must be available to work days, evenings, and weekends * Own vehicle is required * Fluent in the English language * Have reliable means of transportation WORK CONDITIONS * Manual dexterity required to clean dishes and pots, emptying garbage * Working with cleaning chemicals * Working in a kitchen environment * Interacts with employees, management * Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
