Description The Linehaul Driver, Pickup & Delivery drives to/from customer locations and safely operates company vehicles (e.g., tractor-trailers, 5-ton vehicles, shunt trucks, etc.) and material handling equipment (e.g., pallet jacks, forklifts, etc.) to pick up and deliver freight to/from customer locations and meet service level agreements. Job requires working in shifts. Location:12675 Avenue C North, Saskatoon, SK S7L7M8 Working Hours: 45 Hours weekly Scheduled Shift: Variable, flexible schedule as per operational requirements Employment Contract: Permanent Hourly Wage: $37.16 plus a $35.00/week Linehaul Float premium Responsibilities Drive to/from customer locations and safely operates company vehicles (e.g., tractor-trailers, 5-ton vehicles, shunt trucks, etc.) and material handling equipment (e.g., pallet jacks, forklifts, etc.) to pick up and deliver freight to/from warehouse or package depot and/or customer locations and meet service level agreements. Resolve problems as they arise while on the road in collaboration with Dispatch Pick up, deliver, and load/unload freight at customer locations Scan freight upon pickup and delivery Conduct vehicle inspections (tractor - 20-minute pre-trip, 15-minute post-trip; trailer – 15-minute pre-trip per trailer) Additional Responsibilities Education Experience Class 1 driver’s license with a clean driving record 3 years of Class 1 driving experience Skills GPS Tracking Language Requirement: Proficiency in English is required for this position due to the frequent communications that must be conducted in English with various stakeholders. This requirement is justified by the nature of the responsibilities and operational needs.
