Job summary

A co-op position in our Property Valuation Practice, within Deals Valuation, will provide you with the opportunity to leverage specialist expertise in the real estate market. It will also provide you with the opportunity to explore your interest in pursuing qualification in surveyors, property valuers of internationally recognized professional bodies such as the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors, or local professional institutes such as the Appraisal Institute of Canada (AACI) designation. As part of our team, you will be involved in real estate matters where we offer various kinds of services including valuations for different purposes including taxation, mergers and acquisitions and other advisory services as well as being part of the integrated deals team in offering real estate related advice to clients from an overall deals perspective. PwC is fortunate to review and work on some of the largest and highest quality real estate across Canada spanning core and alternative asset classes. The catalysts for our real estate valuation services are dynamic and include assisting with transaction pricing, facilitating real estate organizations’ strategic decision-making, regulatory and financial reporting, and income tax and estate planning. Our key valuation services include real estate assurance support, business valuations with significant real estate components, purchase price allocations, financial modeling, and real estate appraisals. Your role will include, but isn’t limited to: Assisting in the preparation of and/or analyzing real estate market research across multiple asset classes in numerous markets across Canada Supporting the preparation of initial drafts of reports, valuation analyses, memos, and pitches, using appropriate industry and business acumen Support our real estate assurance function including the review of valuation methodologies and assumptions to support financial statements associated with our real estate clients (including pension funds, REITs, real estate private equity, developers, etc.) Interacting with various clients, advisors and stakeholder groups Interacting with key members within the PwC Valuations and Real Assets teams and across the deals ecosystem by supporting our corporate finance, restructuring, and value creation practices which often have projects with real estate scope What you’ll bring to this role: Your skills, knowledge, and experiences are what set you apart. Requirements

Candidates should have a broad real estate background and proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, with Argus knowledge being highly desirable. Strong communication skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment are required.
