Check out our instagram page: https://www.instagram.com/qtkkitchen/ and our website ww.QTK.ca We are seeking an experienced Design Manager - Kitchen Cabinetry to lead our design department, provide technical expertise, review project files, and ensure projects move efficiently from concept to production. This role is ideal for an experienced cabinetry designer who enjoys mentoring others, managing workflow, maintaining quality standards, and ensuring deadlines are consistently achieved. Key Responsibilities Design Leadership & Quality Control Review and approve kitchen cabinetry drawings, plans, and specifications. Ensure designs meet company standards, manufacturing requirements, and client expectations. Provide technical guidance and support to designers, drafters, and project staff. Resolve design-related issues and answer questions from internal teams. Team Management Lead, mentor, and support the design team. Assign workloads and manage department priorities. Monitor team performance and ensure productivity goals are achieved. Foster a collaborative and positive work environment. Project Coordination Track project schedules and ensure deadlines are met. Follow up with team members on outstanding tasks and deliverables. Coordinate with sales, production, project managers, and installers to ensure smooth project execution. Identify potential delays and proactively implement solutions. Process Improvement Develop and maintain design standards and best practices. Improve departmental workflows and efficiencies. Assist with training and onboarding new design staff. Qualifications Required Minimum 5 years of experience in kitchen cabinetry design. Strong knowledge of cabinetry construction methods, materials, hardware, and manufacturing processes. Previous experience reviewing technical drawings and production-ready designs. Proven experience leading or supervising a team. Strong organizational and project management skills. Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities. Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously. Preferred Experience with Cabinet Vision, AutoCAD, Mozaik, Microvellum, or similar cabinetry design software. Experience in custom millwork or residential cabinetry environments. Post-secondary education in Interior Design, Architectural Technology, Engineering Technology, or a related field.
