We are looking for a Java Developer for one of our clients, an investment bank set in Montreal Key responsibilities: The responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to : • DevOps Scope: Responsible for CI/CD pipeline creation and maintenance, containerized infrastructure deployment using Docker and Kubernetes, and automation through GitHub Actions and Jenkins. • Analyze, estimate, and refine user stories within the Equity Finance Trading Systems domain • Evaluate and recommend technical and non-technical solutions (tactical vs. strategic), including timeline assessments • Collaborate with business analysts and end users to gather requirements and obtain approvals • Develop code, deployment plans, and technical upgrades in line with development standards • Coordinate with users to define test plans and acceptance criteria • Participate in testing activities, document results, and review outcomes with end users • Contribute to large-scale software implementations, including quarterly releases and new functionality deployments • Develop and implement internal user reports and data extracts upon request Required Qualifications and Skills: Must Have: • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent • Minimum 4 years of experience in a similar role • Strong ability to work with complex information systems • Strong organizational, analytical, and methodical approach • Excellent communication and collaboration skills • Strong team-oriented mindset • Technical expertise in: o Java o Angular o Spring Boot o REST APIs o SQL / SQL Server o GitHub o Jenkins o IBM / RabbitMQ o Docker o Kubernetes • Bilingual (English and French) Nice to have : • Experience in corporate and investment banking or financial services • Knowledge of financial markets (equities, interest rates, derivatives) • Architecture knowledge • Experience with Azure Languages: English : Mandatory French : Mandatory
