Our client is a respected, non-profit organization in downtown Toronto dedicated to making a meaningful impact in the lives of individuals and families in the community. Guided by compassion, and service, they are seeking an HR Coordinator to join their collaborative People & Culture team on a two-month contract with strong potential for permanent hire. This is an excellent opportunity to gain broad exposure across the employee lifecycle while demonstrating your skills in a role with the opportunity to transition into a permanent position. What You'll Be Doing: - Coordinate recruitment activities, including posting jobs, screening candidates, scheduling interviews, and conducting reference checks - Support employee onboarding and offboarding processes - Prepare employment contracts and other HR documentation - Maintain employee records and HRIS data (BambooHR) - Administer employee benefits, including enrolments, changes, and terminations - Deliver new hire benefits orientation - Respond to employee HR inquiries and provide first-level HR support - Coordinate employee engagement initiatives, staff events, training sessions, and recognition programs - Ensure HR processes comply with employment legislation and internal policies - Participate in HR projects and continuous improvement initiatives - Represent the HR team on the Joint Health & Safety Committee What We're Looking For: - Diploma or degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field - 2-3 years of HR experience in a Coordinator or Generalist capacity - CHRP designation, or working toward it, is considered an asset - Working knowledge of the Employment Standards Act (ESA), Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA), Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA), and the Ontario Human Rights Code - Experience using BambooHR or another HRIS - Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace - Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining a high level of professionalism and confidentiality Why Apply? - Hybrid work environment (3 days on-site in downtown Toronto) - Immediate start - Broad exposure across recruitment, onboarding, benefits administration, HR operations, and employee engagement - Collaborative and supportive HR team - Opportunity to build your HR experience within a respected, mission-driven organization Please send your resume in Word version to angela.quinlan@quantum.ca.
