Position: Senior Financial Accountant Location: Toronto, ON (Hybrid) Salary: $50 - $55 per hour Job Type: 12-month contract Posting Type: Open vacancy Our government-based client is seeking a Senior Financial Accountant to lead financial accounting, reporting, budgeting, forecasting, treasury, and controllership activities. The role provides financial advice to leadership while supporting compliance, process improvements, and ERP implementation initiatives. Responsibilities: - Lead month-end, year-end, general ledger, reconciliations, treasury, and financial reporting activities. - Prepare financial statements, forecasts, budgets, financial models, and management reports. - Support multi-year financial planning, Ministry reporting, cash management, and annual business planning. - Develop and maintain financial policies, internal controls, and processes in accordance with PSAS, GAAP, and legislation. - Provide financial analysis, risk assessment, and strategic advice to leadership and internal stakeholders. - Support ERP implementation, UAT, data migration, process improvements, SOPs, and end-user training. Qualifications: - University degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field - CPA designation with 5+ years of progressive financial accounting experience - Government or broader public-sector experience preferred - Strong knowledge of PSAS, GAAP, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, treasury, and internal controls - Experience with Microsoft Dynamics D365, SAP, QuickBooks, and financial systems - Strong analytical, communication, presentation, organizational, and stakeholder management skills Please send your resume in Word version to angela.quinlan@quantum.ca. Requirements

A university degree in accounting, finance, business, or a related field and a CPA designation are required, along with at least five years of progressive financial accounting experience. Government or broader public-sector experience is preferred, as is strong knowledge of PSAS, GAAP, financial systems, and financial planning, reporting, and control practices.
