Position: Systems Administrator III - Windows Location: Etobicoke - 3 days onsite Salary: $100,000 + 10% bonus Posting Type: Open vacancy Our client is looking for an experienced Systems Administrator III to support and maintain mission-critical Windows Server infrastructure across enterprise on-premises and hybrid cloud environments. This is a hands-on, server-focused role responsible for Windows Server administration, SCCM patching, platform upgrades, high-availability clustering, production troubleshooting and infrastructure automation. The successful candidate will work closely with Infrastructure, Engineering, Security and SQL DBA teams to maintain reliable and secure production environments. Description: - Build, deploy, patch, upgrade and manage enterprise Windows Server environments. - Administer Active Directory, DNS and Group Policy. - Perform hands-on SCCM server patching and lifecycle management. - Drive platform currency, patching and in-place server upgrades. - Support and troubleshoot multi-node Microsoft Windows clusters. - Support SQL Server high-availability environments and work closely with SQL DBAs. - Resolve complex production incidents through advanced troubleshooting and root cause analysis. - Develop PowerShell automation to improve infrastructure operations. - Maintain runbooks, documentation and operational standards. - Collaborate with Infrastructure, Engineering, Application, Security and DBA teams. - Support ongoing infrastructure modernization and lifecycle initiatives. Skills: - 3+ years of hands-on Windows Server administration in an enterprise environment. - Strong experience building, deploying, patching and managing Windows Servers. - Hands-on SCCM experience specifically focused on server patching - not EUC. - Strong Active Directory, DNS and Group Policy experience. - Experience supporting multi-node Microsoft/Windows clustering and high-availability environments. - Experience supporting SQL Server high availability. - Strong PowerShell scripting and infrastructure automation experience. - Strong production troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills. - Ability to independently manage and resolve complex server infrastructure issues. - Strong enterprise/server administration background. Nice to Have: - Azure and hybrid cloud experience - Ansible or similar configuration management experience - VMware virtualization experience - Experience with PCI DSS, CIS benchmarks or payment-processing environments - Experience working with MSSPs or managed security monitoring environments - Relevant infrastructure or security certifications Important: This is a server-focused Windows administration role. Candidates should have strong enterprise Windows Server experience, including SCCM server patching and multi-node/high-availability clustering.
