Job summary

We are seeking a Senior BSA to play a key role in the modernization of ClientLink, our portfolio management platform supporting portfolio accounting, performance, and downstream integrations. This role goes beyond traditional analysis. The successful candidate will: • Lead functional design and system analysis • AI-assisted analysis, requirements gathering, and specification/document generation • Define use cases, user stories, and functional specifications • Translate business domain needs into modern, scalable solution designs • Analyze data flows, system behavior, and production issues • Partner with engineering on solution design and debugging • Act as a bridge across business, data, and technology Key Responsibilities Functional Design & modernization • Lead the definition of target-state functional capabilities for ClientLink • Develop: o Functional specifications o Use cases and journeys o User stories with clear acceptance criteria • Translate legacy system behavior into: o Modern, modular, and scalable designs • Define: o Business rules o Data flows o System interactions • Identify gaps between: oCurrent-state (legacy ClientLink) oFuture-state (modernized architecture) Data & System Analysis • Analyze and validate end-to-end flows: oTransactions, positions, valuations, performance • Perform hands-on SQL analysis for: o Data analysis and reconciliation o Issue validation • Trace data across o Upstream systems (e.g. security master, transaction feeds) o ClientLink processing (batch/financial engines) o Downstream consumers (e.g. reporting, external applications) System Design & Integration • Define and document: o API contracts (payload vs file-based) o Batch and event-driven processing flows • Collaborate with architecture and engineering to: o Ensure designs are scalable and aligned to modernization goals • Identify: o Failure points o Edge cases o Data integrity Production Insight & Problem Solving • Provide design input informed by: o Production realities o Known system limitations • Support root cause analysis where needed to: o Validate design assumptions o Improve future-state architecture Business & Domain Alignment • Work closely with business stakeholders to: o Define functional requirements aligned to portfolio management workflows • Ensure outputs align with: o Financial expectations (valuations, positions, performance) o Reporting and operational needs What do you need to succeed? Core Technical Skills • Strong SQL and data analysis capability • Experience defining: o Functional specifications o Data mappings o System flows • Experience with: o APIs, batch processing, and system integrations o AI-assisted analysis, requirements gathering, and specification/document generation Functional Design Expertise • Proven ability to: o Translate business needs into structured functional designs o Create clear, consumable specifications for engineering • Experience working on: oModernization or transformation initiatives oLegacy-to-modern system transitions Domain Knowledge • Wealth management / capital markets experience •Understanding of: o Positions vs transactions o Valuation and performance concepts System Thinking • Ability to decompose complex systems • Comfortable working across multiple integrated systems
