Richelieu Hardware is looking for a Industrial Wood Coatings Paint Lab Technician (or Color matching Specialist) for the Winnipeg branch This person is responsible to handle all matters related to various types of coatings; including but not limited to stains, primers, pre-cat, post-cat, urethanes, and water-based products. More specifically, the main responsibilities of the position are to: Custom Color Mixing proficiency Provide color matches services for customers – meeting rush requirements Maintain formula/recipe data base Support sales force with technical expertise and product application Strong wood finishing technical aptitude Familiar with viscometer, gloss meter, light box, film thickness meter, etc. for testing coating products Prepare samples Ability to lift to 50lbs. Requirements

Candidates must have strong knowledge of the wood coatings industry, excellent color vision, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. High levels of self-motivation and strong communication skills are also required.
