Senior Financial Analyst Contract Length: 14-Month Location: Toronto, ON Schedule: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM (Monday through Friday) Work Model: Hybrid – 4 days in-office per week required Our client, a leader in the financial services sector, is looking for a Senior Financial Analyst for a 14-month contract. This role plays a critical part in supporting daily business operations, maintaining regulatory compliance, and executing core financial processes. The role is onsite 4 days a week with Friday remote. Responsibilities: Oversee day-to-day operational routines, financial reconciliations, and reporting deliverables. Prepare monthly and quarterly financial statements for 2-3 legal entities. Partner with cross-functional teams (Risk, Compliance, and Strategy) to streamline workflows and ensure adherence to financial industry standards. Analyze operational data to identify trends, resolve discrepancies, and recommend process improvements. Support ongoing business initiatives, platform updates, and audit requirements. Maintain accurate documentation and serve as a reliable point of contact for operational inquiries. Qualifications & Requirements: 5-7+ years of professional experience within financial services (e.g., banking, wealth management, capital markets, or fintech). CPA designation is mandatory. Advanced skills in MS Excel (VLOOKUP’s, pivot tables) and experience with MS Dynamics or Navision. Strong analytical capabilities, high attention to detail, and clear written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment and manage competing priorities effectively.
