Job details
Position Overview A leading financial services and real estate technology firm is executing "Cloud 2.0"—a major multi-year initiative focused on complete cloud redesign, greenfield Microsoft Landing Zone architecture, zero-trust security implementation, and the migration of 20+ core enterprise applications to Microsoft Azure, is seeking a hands-on, automation-driven Cloud Engineer to sit at the center of this transformation. Working as part of a collaborative technology team, the role is 90% focused on cloud automation and infrastructure modernization, while helping bridge foundational networking connections to legacy systems. This position provides direct, hands-on exposure to advanced cloud landing zones, automated CI/CD deployment pipelines, and emerging enterprise AI technology (including Azure Foundry, Document Intelligence, and AIOps). Key Responsibilities Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Design, write, and maintain scalable, reusable Terraform modules to automate cloud infrastructure provisioning across Microsoft Azure [1, 2]. CI/CD Pipeline Management: Build, optimize, and support automated deployment pipelines in Azure DevOps for continuous application releases and infrastructure updates [1, 2]. Cloud 2.0 App Migrations: Partner with senior cloud architects to migrate 20+ enterprise applications into modernized Azure landing zones utilizing zero-trust and updated RBAC security models [2]. Hybrid Operations & Networking: Maintain high availability across cloud platforms (90%) while managing foundational networking connections (DNS, IP subnets, routing, TCP/IP) to legacy environments (10%) [2]. Technical Troubleshooting: Participate in live deployment debugging, script troubleshooting, and operational problem-solving across development and production environments [1, 2]. Qualifications & Skill Requirements Total IT Foundation: 5+ years of total hands-on IT infrastructure, technical support, or system engineering experience. Cloud Infrastructure Depth: 2 to 4 years of hands-on experience building, automating, and maintaining cloud workloads in Microsoft Azure (candidates with primary AWS expertise who possess strong transferable cloud fundamentals are eligible). Terraform Mastery: Demonstrated hands-on experience writing and debugging Terraform code for infrastructure provisioning. DevOps & Automation: Proven track record implementing and managing CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions. Networking Fundamentals: Strong working knowledge of foundational networking protocols (DNS, IP subnets, routing, TCP/IP). Assessment Readiness: Ability to walk through, explain, and debug live code snippets and cloud deployment architectures during technical screening. Key Role Highlights Cutting-Edge Projects: Direct involvement in a greenfield enterprise cloud overhaul rather than standard legacy maintenance. Exposure to Emerging Tech: Practical experience with enterprise AI services, automated landing zones, and AIOps tools. Collaborative Environment: Integration into an agile, supportive engineering team focused on technical growth and cross-training. Location: Oakville, ON (Strongly Preferred) or London, ON — Hybrid (3 Days On-Site) Compensation: $90,000 – $110,000 CAD Base Salary Annual Incentive Bonus: 8% Industry: Financial Services & Real Estate Technology Role Level: Mid-to-Senior Individual Contributor
