Job summary

Business Systems Analyst (UAT & Business Testing) Join a collaborative team in the insurance sector where innovation, digital transformation, and continuous improvement drive meaningful business and technology initiatives. Contribute to solution analysis, validation, and delivery while working closely with business and technical stakeholders in an agile environment. What is in it for you: • Salaried: $45-50 per hour. • Incorporated Business Rate: $55-60 per hour. • 12-month contract with the potential for permanent employment. • Full-time position: 37.5 hours per week. • Weekday schedule from 9 am to 5 pm. • Hybrid role with 1 on-site day per week. • Occasional evening or weekend work may be required. Responsibilities: • Analyze and define user needs and translate them into system requirements, epics, user stories, and data mapping documents. • Work with the team to conduct analysis of business requests, focusing on the connections between processes and systems across the organization. • Create and provide input for internal and external communications and user documentation. • Review and provide feedback on business and technical documentation. • Conduct business acceptance testing. • Support the business during solution rollouts with a focus on end-to-end validation. • Troubleshoot issues identified during testing activities. • Collaborate with business and technical partners to understand needs and support solution delivery within an agile team environment. What you will need to succeed: Required qualifications • Post-secondary degree or diploma in Business, Technology, or equivalent experience. • 2 to 5 years of progressive experience as a Business & Systems Analyst. • Experience with business acceptance testing, including test planning, execution, and interpretation of outcomes. • Experience with technology and the ability to self-learn software applications. • Knowledge of relevant business processes, systems, and capabilities. • Good understanding of privacy, compliance, control, and security requirements. • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel. • Comfortable leveraging AI tools. Required soft skills • Strong analytical and communication skills. • Ability to work collaboratively in a matrixed team environment. • Comfortable with data requirements and related data activities. • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills with business and technical stakeholders. • Strong multitasking, prioritization, and time management skills. • Comfortable working in ambiguous environments. Preferred qualifications • Experience supporting customer-facing operations. • Knowledge of the financial services industry. • Knowledge of Group Benefits and Group Medical Underwriting. • Bilingualism in French and English is an asset for supporting communications, documentation, and collaboration with business and technical stakeholders.
