FF&E Specialist - Luxury Hospitality Our client, a Toronto-based globally recognized luxury interior design studio specializing in high-end hospitality, residential, restaurant, and mixed-use environments, is seeking an experienced FF&E Specialist to join their growing team. This is a permanent, full-time, in studio position, offering a base salary of $70-$90k, or more, depending on experience, plus a competitive vacation and benefits package. Known for creating immersive, story-driven spaces, the practice blends design, craftsmanship, and brand experience across architecture, landscape, interior, and product design. With a keen eye for colour, texture, and finish, you'll help bring unique design stories to life. Supported by Project Leads and Senior Designers, you'll collaborate on furniture, fixtures, and equipment while demonstrating creativity, initiative, strong organization, and confidence in client-facing situations. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree or diploma in Interior Design, Industrial Design, Architecture, or a related field Minimum 5 years of experience in interior design with a strong focus on FF&E Experience on luxury hospitality projects is considered an asset Strong creativity, design sensitivity, and understanding of materiality, space, scale, and furniture detailing Knowledge of furniture, fabrics, decorative lighting, finishes, accessories, art, and custom furnishings Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills Exceptional attention to detail with strong organizational, time management, and prioritization skills Experience managing project budgets and specifications Positive, collaborative attitude with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment Skilled in AutoCAD, Adobe Suite, MS Suite, and SketchUp Responsibilities: Collaborate with project leaders and design teams to manage multiple projects from concept through completion across all stages of FF&E development and production. Conceptualize furniture, millwork, and decorative lighting, ensuring alignment with project narratives and design standards. Partner with design and industrial design teams to develop custom furnishings that meet client and brand requirements. Design and develop custom carpets, textiles, and soft goods in accordance with the overall design concept. Select and specify furniture, fixtures, and equipment that support the established design vision. Select and specify durable, high-quality materials and finishes appropriate to project requirements. Create and refine furniture layouts to optimize functionality and user experience. Prepare FF&E specifications, schedules, and related documentation. Manage and coordinate with suppliers, vendors, and manufacturers throughout the design and production process. Collaborate with internal design, project management, and procurement teams to ensure project alignment and execution. Participate in mock-up and prototype reviews, providing design feedback and recommendations. Review, track, and coordinate FF&E submittals to ensure consistency with approved design intent, specifications, and quality standards.
