Our client is seeking an HR Lead to provide hands-on leadership across the HR function while supporting leaders and employees throughout the organization. Based in-office in St. Albert, this role combines day-to-day HR delivery with team leadership across employee relations, talent acquisition, disability management, payroll and benefits oversight, workplace safety, and HR systems. The ideal candidate will bring broad HR experience, sound judgment, and the confidence to coach leaders through complex people matters. Your Success Will Be Defined By Your Ability To Lead, coach, and support HR and payroll/benefits team members while promoting accountability and professional development Provide guidance to leaders on employee relations, performance management, workplace concerns, and policy interpretation Lead workplace investigations and provide clear, well-supported recommendations Manage disability, accommodation, WCB, leave, and return-to-work processes Oversee recruitment, onboarding, offboarding, and other key employee lifecycle activities Partner with leadership to support workplace health and safety, compliance, and injury prevention initiatives Provide oversight of payroll and benefits administration in collaboration with Finance Support the selection and implementation of HR technology while improving HR processes and reporting Monitor workforce trends and provide meaningful HR metrics and recommendations to leadership Promote an inclusive, respectful, and high-performing workplace culture Your strengths include: 5+ years of progressive Human Resources experience, including at least 1 year in an HR leadership role Degree in Business, Human Resources, or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and experience Strong knowledge of Alberta employment legislation, HR policies, and regulatory requirements Experience managing employee relations, investigations, disability cases, accommodations, and WCB matters Proven ability to coach leaders and guide teams through complex workplace situations Experience overseeing recruitment, employee programs, and HR operations Strong communication, relationship-building, and organizational skills Experience with payroll, HRIS implementation, or HR technology considered an asset Experience within a not-for-profit or public organization considered an asset If you are interested in this role and meet the above criteria, please click the “Apply” button to send your resume directly to Tania Christensen. Requirements

Requires at least five years of progressive HR experience, including at least one year in an HR leadership role, and a degree in Business, Human Resources, or a related discipline, or equivalent education and experience. Candidates should have strong knowledge of Alberta employment legislation and experience with employee relations, investigations, disability and WCB matters, leader coaching, recruitment, and HR operations.
