Our client is seeking an Operations Manager to oversee transportation and logistics operations across Canada and the United States. This hands-on leadership role is responsible for ensuring freight moves safely, efficiently, and in compliance with regulatory requirements while supporting customers, drivers, and internal teams. The ideal candidate will bring strong operational experience, cross-border transportation expertise, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. Your Success Will Be Defined By Your Ability To Oversee day-to-day transportation and logistics operations across Canada and the United States Support load planning, fleet utilization, dispatch activities, and service delivery requirements Manage cross-border freight movements and ensure compliance with customs and regulatory requirements Coordinate with customs brokers, carriers, customers, and government agencies to support efficient freight movement Resolve operational challenges, service disruptions, and border clearance issues in a timely manner Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, carriers, drivers, and key stakeholders Lead, coach, and support operations, dispatch, and administrative team members Monitor operational performance and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and profitability Support safety, permitting, compliance, and other operational initiatives as required Your strengths include: 5+ years of experience in transportation, logistics, fleet operations, or supply chain management Strong knowledge of Canada/U.S. cross-border transportation and customs processes Experience with import/export documentation, bonded freight, and regulatory compliance requirements Leadership experience within trucking, logistics, or transportation environments Strong understanding of dispatch, fleet utilization, and freight operations Proficiency with transportation management systems and Microsoft Office Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities Experience within trucking, flatbed, specialized hauling, heavy haul, or expedited freight operations considered a strong asset If you are interested in this role and meet the above criteria, please click the "Apply" button to send your resume directly to Bobi-Jo Warner.
