Building People.” Role Description The Academy Soccer Coach is a part-time or full-time, on-site role based in Kitchener, ON. This role involves planning and delivering age-appropriate training sessions that focus on technical, tactical, physical, and mental development. The coach will provide clear instruction, constructive feedback, and positive reinforcement to help players improve while maintaining a safe and encouraging training environment. Day-to-day tasks include session planning, leading practices and games, monitoring player progress, coordinating with other coaching staff, and communicating regularly with players and families about development goals. The coach will also support academy events such as camps, assessments, and clinics, and uphold RED Academy of Soccer’s standards of professionalism, respect, and player-centered development. Qualifications Strong soccer-specific coaching skills, including Soccer Coaching and Football knowledge. Effective Communication skills, with the ability to engage players, families, and staff in a professional manner. Background in Education and Coaching, with experience designing and delivering developmental training sessions. Coaching certifications (e.g., national or provincial licenses) and ongoing commitment to professional development. Experience working with youth players in an academy or club environment, with a focus on long-term development. Ability to create inclusive, safe, and positive training environments for players of varying abilities. Strong organizational and time-management skills, including session planning and player evaluation. Availability for evenings and weekends as required by training schedules, matches, and academy events.
