About the Opportunity We are looking for a Senior Commercial Account Executive to take ownership of an established portfolio of long-standing VIP commercial clients. This is a senior, relationship-led role suited to an experienced professional who values trust, autonomy, and the responsibility that comes with managing complex commercial accounts. You will be accountable for a sophisticated book of business, delivering consistent, high-quality service to clients with diverse and evolving insurance needs. While there is opportunity to generate new business, the primary focus of the role is stewardship and long-term relationship management. This position is primarily office-based, with in-person client meetings as required. You will be supported by a dedicated administrative team, a structure Reliance is well known for, allowing you to focus on client relationships, coverage strategy, and advisory work. As a Senior Commercial Account Executive, you will: Oversee a portfolio of VIP commercial clients, ensuring strong relationships and continuity of service Act as a trusted point of contact for clients, providing advice and guidance across renewals and coverage discussions Identify opportunities to expand existing relationships and generate new business where appropriate Coordinate renewals, endorsements, and ongoing policy servicing with the support of a dedicated administrative team Work closely with underwriters and internal teams on placement, coverage updates, and changing client needs What You'll Bring To The Table To be successful in this role, you will hold a CAIB 2 / Level 2 BC Insurance license / a CIP designation and bring 10+ years of experience in commercial insurance broking, with the ability to confidently manage complex commercial accounts and long-standing client relationships. If you already hold an Ontario RIBO licence, that's a great asset. If not, you'll be willing to obtain one with support from Reliance Insurance if required. What will set you apart: Proven experience managing established portfolios of commercial clients Strong working knowledge of EPIC, along with Outlook, Word, and Excel Confidence operating autonomously while collaborating within a team-supported environment Professional, client-focused communication skills, including in-person relationship management A thoughtful, detail-oriented approach to renewals, endorsements, and ongoing policy servicing With dedicated administrative support in place, you are able to focus your time on what you do best, building and strengthening long-term client relationships.
