Job Title: Sr. QA Automation+ Manual Engineer Location: Canada (Remote) Position : 6+ Months Contract Job Summary We are looking for a skilled QA Automation Engineer to design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks and scripts to ensure high-quality software delivery. The ideal candidate will work closely with developers, product owners, and DevOps teams in an Agile environment to ensure functional, regression, and performance testing are automated and scalable. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain automation test scripts and frameworks Perform functional, regression, smoke, and integration testing Collaborate with developers and business teams to understand requirements and acceptance criteria Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines Identify, document, and track defects using tools like JIRA Execute automated test suites and analyze test results Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies (stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives) Ensure test coverage for web, API, and backend applications Support UAT and production validation when required Follow best practices for test automation and QA standards Required Skills & Qualifications Strong experience in QA Automation testing Hands-on experience with automation tools such as: Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, TestNG, JUnit Programming experience in Java, Python, JavaScript, or C# Experience with API testing (Postman, RestAssured, SOAP UI) Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, GitLab) Knowledge of version control systems (Git) Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments Strong understanding of STLC and SDLC Excellent communication and documentation skills Nice To Have (Preferred) Experience with performance testing tools (JMeter, LoadRunner) Experience in cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP) Experience with BDD frameworks (Cucumber, SpecFlow) Exposure to containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
