Job summary

Respite / Supportive Roommate (Female Applicants Only) Resicare Society of Calgary is seeking a compassionate, dedicated female candidate to join our team to support a young female with developmental disabilities. Looking for someone who lives in the SW area between Chinook and South Center. Client requires a bedroom and bathroom on the main floor. She loves music, dancing, visiting the zoo, any group activity, parties, going outside for walks, swimming, books/magazines, animals, being busy, and socializing with her peers and neighbors within her community. Available positions: Respite home (Part-time) that will transition to a Support Home (Full-time); funding is in progress Shifts available: Respite will be 1-2 times a month until next year, when she requires a Support Home As a Member Of This Dedicated Team, You Will Support a young woman who is non-verbal. Assist with daily living activities, requires assistance with all personal care needs. Foster a safe, respectful, and supportive living environment. Implement individualized support strategies and maintain accurate documentation. Work collaboratively with family members and the Resicare support team to ensure a smooth transition into independent living. Qualifications A diploma or equivalent formal education in Rehabilitation Services, Social Services, and 2 years of experience supporting persons with developmental disabilities. Valid First Aid/CPR and Medication Administration certification are required. A recent Vulnerable Police clearance check within 6 months is REQUIRED upon interview.
