About the Role: The Pharmacy Assistant plays a crucial role in supporting the daily operations of a pharmacy by assisting pharmacists in dispensing medications and providing excellent customer service. The Pharmacy Assistant acts as a liaison between patients and pharmacists, helping to answer questions and provide information about medications under the supervision of licensed professionals. Minimum Qualifications: * High school diploma or equivalent. * Basic knowledge of pharmaceutical terminology and medication names. * Previous experience in a retail or healthcare environment is preferred but not mandatory. * Ability to follow detailed instructions and work under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist. * Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Preferred Qualifications: * Certification as a Pharmacy Assistant or completion of a relevant training program. * Familiarity with pharmacy management software and inventory systems. * Experience working in a healthcare or pharmacy setting. * Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to pharmaceutical handling. * Bilingual abilities to assist a diverse patient population. Responsibilities: * Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing prescription medications accurately and efficiently. * Manage inventory by receiving, storing, and organizing pharmaceutical supplies and ensuring stock levels are maintained. * Provide friendly and professional customer service by answering patient inquiries and directing them to the pharmacist when necessary. * Maintain accurate records of prescriptions, patient information, and transactions in compliance with legal and regulatory requirements. * Support the pharmacy team in maintaining a clean, safe, and organized work environment. Skills: The Pharmacy Assistant uses strong organizational skills daily to manage inventory and ensure medications are stored correctly and readily available.
