Job Description RESEARCH INSTITUTE OF THE MUHC The Research Institute of the McGill University Health Centre (RI-MUHC) is a world-renowned biomedical and hospital research centre. Position Summary Under the supervision of the Program Manager and in close collaboration with the Program leaders and the other program assistant(s), the incumbent provides personalized administrative and lab technical support to program members. The incumbent will be an integral part of the program admin team and will play a central role supporting up to 40 principal investigators and their research team. General Duties Provides lab technical support (space, equipment, training, usage and safety rules), Provides general program-related support including liaising for services with biomed, technical services, infrastructure, housekeeping, security, IT, telecom, Assists with the completion and submission of HR documentation for research staff, Provides administrative support to assigned academic staff and manager (payment requisition – reimbursement), Contribute to program management by providing input and feedback on program initiatives and priorities. Responsible for managing wet lab space and lab equipment including coordination of equipment repairs and maintenance, Coordinate and organize trainings for equipment, Establish, implement and manage equipment reservation systems, user’s rules and shared equipment’ agreements, Liaise with Biomed, Infrastructure, IT, Technical support and Environmental Health and Health and safety teams, Liaise with companies for new equipment purchasing, technology workshops, quotations, sponsorship, Administrative support (payment requisition, reimbursement, travel expenses, HR paperwork), Assist with the organization of program events (seminars, research day, retreat) and meetings (doodle poll, calendar invite, zoom link, survey, minutes), Assist program leaders and manager with various admin duties including preparation of documents, Responsible for program communication (email, memo, report, poster, newsletter, social media, Youtube channel…), Manage membership and mailing lists. Website of the organization https://rimuhc.ca/en Education / Experience Education: High School Education or Vocational Diploma "Secretarial" (DEP - 1,485 hours) or equivalent Other education considered an asset for this position: Life science degree (BSc or MSc) Work Experience: Research lab experience represents an asset Required Skills Excellent French and English, spoken and written, Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, Knowledge of computer applications such as, Word, Excel, Access and Power Point, Ability to work independently or with teams with minimum supervision. Additional information Status: Temporary Full-Time (35-hour workweek) Pay Scale: $39,075.40 - $58,622.20. Commensurate with education & work experience. Requirements

Requires a high school diploma or vocational secretarial diploma, with a life science degree and research lab experience considered assets. Must be bilingual in French and English with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
