Position: Line Cook (Part-Time) Facility: Ripley’s Aquarium of Canada Reports to: Manager of Food Services Job Description: Reporting to the Manager of Food Services, the Line Cook is responsible for food preparation and set up of line stations supporting Ripley’s Café. The Cook will also oversee kitchen clean-up and work in compliance with the provisions of the OHSA and WHMIS regulations. Please remember that due to the nature of our business, we work when others play in an attraction that is open 365 days of the year! You will be expected to be regularly available to work any shift during, before or after these hours of operation. Critical Accountabilities: * Overseeing food inventory by monitoring proper food temperatures, rotating and storing food properly * Prepare and cook meals for our Guests * Putting away dry and produce deliveries * Ensure kitchen areas are constantly clean * Follow and comply with all provincial regulations Special Skills and Requirements: * Must be able to work a flexible schedule * Adaptable individual with capability to multitask * Must be physically able to lift and transfer heavy items * Requires stand for majority of shift * Must possess Food Handler’s Certificate * Experience working with various food products * Excellent communication skills Pay Rate: $20.21/hourly Ripley's Aquarium of Canada is dedicated to providing an atmosphere free from barriers in order to promote equity and diversity and will ensure the full participation and advancement of members of protected groups, which include but are not limited to women, Indigenous persons, members of visible minority groups, LGBTQ2S+ individuals, and persons with disabilities.
