Server- Tap 25

Job summary

Responsible for greeting guests, taking food and drink orders, and serving items from the kitchen and bar. Ensures guest satisfaction by maintaining clean tables and handling payments efficiently.

Job details

A structured Server role is critical to serve prepared foods and drinks to Tap 25 guests. The server will typically will spend the most time with guests during their stay at Tap 25. Prepare tables or counters for meals. Stock the service area with supplies (e.g. coffee, glassware). Greet customers, present menus and/or help customers to select menu items. Inform customers about daily specials. Record orders and place them with the kitchen and bar. Pick up and serve orders. Check that customers are enjoying their meals and correct any problems. Suggest and serve desserts and beverages. Clean and re-set tables. Tabulate and present bills for payment. To look out for the safety of yourself, co-workers and to follow all Health and Safety requirements in the workplace. All other duties as assigned 2-3 years’ experience in a dining establishment AGLC - Proserve/Protect preferred Mathematic Skills Basic math may be needed to verify cash receipts. Customer Service Skills Servers need proper customer service skills as they have a lot of interaction with guests and must deal with a number of special requests. Physical Coordination The server must have the ability to move food trays effectively across the restaurant floor. Trays loaded with food may be as heavy as 15lbs. Communication Skills Reading, writing, speaking, and listening are important for the server to communicate effectively to guests, kitchen staff, and food and beverage helpers. Able to work as a part of a team. Able to work with little supervision. Ability to work calmly under pressure. Requirements

Requires 2-3 years of experience in a dining establishment and a preference for AGLC Proserve/Protect certification. Must possess strong communication skills and the physical ability to carry trays up to 15lbs.
