This position is primarily responsible for delivering dry bulk and fly ash to ready mix plants in Alberta and British Columbia. Responsibilities: Drive a B-Train pneumatic tanker to deliver bulk cement and fly ash to ready mix plants interprovincially. Complete pre and post trip inspections on vehicle. Maintain appearance of truck and monitors air pressure in tires. Minor preventative maintenance and repairs as needed, communicating with the shop when larger maintenance/repairs are required. Communicate with dispatch about road conditions, delays, or other issues while on enroute. Adhere to all traffic safety laws, avoiding tickets, violations, or other infractions. Maintain a positive and professional demeanor while on customer and supplier sites, delivering excellent customer service. Ensure safety and compliance with transportation regulations. Safe, effective, and efficient trailer loading and unloading. Actively participate in safe work practices and procedures, safety meetings, and policies. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications: Valid class 1 drivers license and clean drivers abstract. 1+ years of Super B hauling experience. Able to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted on a regular basis. Clearance and credentials to make runs to the US is an asset. Must be able to be clean shaven for work- a mask fit is required for employment. Key Attributes: Safety conscious mind-set. Excellent customer service skills. Above average time management skills Strong verbal communication skills. Working Environment: Primary work environment is in a sleeper truck. Accessing construction, manufacturing, and industrial sites is required when making deliveries. Out of town travel required 3+ nights a week. Frequent overtime, evening, nights, and weekend shifts are required.
